Instinct, part ONE

I could feel the cold grasp of wet moss on my left cheek. I was laying down, not even knowing if I was awaken. I rekon trying to move my arms, wich obviously failed. I then fell into darkness. When I finally came to my senses, I felt no only the moss on my face but also cold water piercing my neck. I brought myself to my knees, rubbing my temples thoughtfully. Where was I? Who might know please write to me. I felt around me and was surprised to find myself apparently trapped in a cold cave covered in moss and such things. Then the questions started hitting my consciousness. The lack of answers made me wonder even more... I couldn't see very far, for it was ever so dark in here. I was trapped, cold, shuddering and I couldn't even see my hands.

After a whole day it seemed, I finally stood up and put my palms on the walls of my soon-to-be tomb, when I felt a warm groove in the rocky wall. A small spark of hope lit inside of my heart. I pressed and pulled with all my strenght (that was left) but

nothing happened. Nothing. Not even a crack, a rumble, or a light was nigh to see or hear. I sat there, like a desperate man (wich I was) and cried for a few hours.

"Stop crying old man, I thought to myself, there has to be an exit, or even the way I landed in here. Why am I here? Where am I? Goddamnit old man!"
I punched the strange groove with rage. Still nothing. I felt the saliva drip down my sorry chin.
"What are you, a damn baby? Get up. GET UP! Alright! Now, where are you? A dark hole in the ground. Great."
I then heard a slip. A faint sound of a rock sliding under a step, far away. A step.
"A creature, creeping down on me. Waiting for my passing to devour my skin and flesh, and lick every bone with delight. What a sick, deranged creature.
Hold on.
What sign told me it was a creature? Why did I think it was going to eat my every limb? What kind of sick man am I?
Whatever it was, I shan't let myself perish here. I will strike first."
